The poly Jacquard dyes certainly are brilliant for polyester and synthetic material. The stove top method means the heating makes the smell from the dye very strong. Best to do where you can have plenty of ventilation. After the dyeing process is finished I put it all into washing machine, quick wash cycle. Hang on clothesline. When they are dry I iron each garment. You will notice the material is very creased. During the ironing process the heat from the iron brings out the strong dye smell. Again, have ventilation. After they are ironed put them into washing machine for a full cycle. Hang outside to dry. Doing all of this should get the smell out of the garments.
