Purple Hobbies

The goal of Purple Hobbies is to share my passions with other makers. 

We are a small, family owned and operated business.  All designs are created by myself and my two sons with one patent awarded or the BladeSaver Thread Cutter, and a patent pending for the Magnetic Pin Cup.

I have lots of hobbies, and the one thing they all have in common is that they can be improved with custom 3D printed objects.  See how 3D printing can improve your hobbies and your daily life!

We use PLA (Polylactic Acid) for the majority of my prints.  PLA is great because it is commercially compostable and it is made from renewable resources like corn starch and tapioca starch. 

All items on this site are original designs created with lots of feedback from family and friends.  We use SolidWorks to create the models and then we print them on a "farm" of Ultimaker printers.
